Key Trends in the Exhibition Industry: Insights from the Global Exhibition Barometer
The latest edition of the Global Exhibition Barometer was published in February, offering valuable insights into current trends within the exhibition sector across 19 regions worldwide. The results indicate that the sector is experiencing continued growth, with a projected further increase in revenue in 2024 and 2025.
Workforce and Challenges
Globally, there’s an optimistic outlook on the labor market within the sector. 46% of companies indicate plans to expand their workforce in the next six months, while 51% expect to maintain their current staffing levels. In the medium term, “Global economic developments” (20%) are seen as the biggest challenge, followed by “Geopolitical challenges” and “Sustainability / Climate,” both at 15%.
AI in the Exhibition Sector
A notable trend is the widespread adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) within the sector. A significant 92% of companies report using this technology. For the first time since this question was introduced a year ago, a majority of companies are implementing AI in sales, marketing, and customer relations, indicating rapid adoption.
