Jan-Willem Roenhorst begins as general manager at the Element Amsterdam Hotel, which opens its doors on February 8. Element is a long-stay sustainable hotel that caters to environmentally conscious travelers, both business and leisure.
Prior to his appointment at Element Amsterdam, Roenhorst was general manager at the Sheraton Ufa Hotel in Russia. He has worked for Starwood since 2005 in various operational roles.
Owned by the Munich-based Bari Gruppe, Element Amsterdam is located in Amsterdam Zuid. It has 160 spacious studios and suites specially designed for long-term guest stays. In addition, the hotel offers, among other things, free breakfast, two meeting rooms and a business center.
