KLM (Cityhopper) also to cut flights this summer

Not only Transavia, but also KLM must intervene in the timetable this summer.

This applies to KLM Cityhopper, a KLM spokesperson confirms to MICE Benelux on Wednesday evening.

In a statement, KLM says:
“Limited changes will be made to the summer schedule at KLM Cityhopper. These interventions are several months in the future, which gives customers the opportunity to rebook an alternative flight well in advance if necessary.’

Due to technical problems, KLM Cityhopper has difficulty fully deploying the Embraer E2.
“KLM Cityhopper is in talks with Embraer and engine manufacturer Pratt & Whitney to find a solution to these problems, which incidentally have no effect on flight safety,” KLM said in its statement.

KLM Cityhopper has deployed alternative capacity by keeping Embraers E190s in the fleet that would be returned to the lessors (lessors, ed.). A number of wet leases are also entered into. (Photo KLM).
