MSC Cruises targets MICE market

MSC Cruises is launching a new campaign among travel agents to generate Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Events (MICE) revenues for the 2022/23 winter season continuing through summer 2023.

The initiative is also in response to requests from travel agents, multinational corporations and event agencies, who have seen increased demand for MICE operations following the past few years of the industry being hit by the global pandemic. MSC Cruises’ Benelux commercial teams will contact travel agents during September to explain the attractions and benefits for MICE customers aboard the 19 ships that make up MSC Cruises’ fleet today. Two more ships will be added later this year, the MSC Seascape and MSC World Europa.

Frank Van den Steen (Country Manager Benelux, MSC Cruises) says: “Our ships offer great advantages over hotels and resorts as MICE locations, regardless of the size and scale of the company. There are many more options in terms of food and drink, plenty of different entertainment attractions to enjoy and of course, different destinations to explore and discover. And all that in one trip. After the very challenging past 24 months for the MICE market, we are really looking forward to playing our part and helping our network of agents bring some great opportunities to their clients.”

Each ship has its own theatre, conference rooms, dining rooms, bars and lounges, all of which can be branded and adapted to the needs of MICE customers. Experienced Events Managers are on hand on every MSC Cruises voyage who can organize a wide range of activities on board and ashore. The locations, menus, gifts, day programs, signage and LED screens can also be customized. In addition, MSC Cruises can tailor-make shore excursions and personalize entertainment programmes.
