Easyjet has broken new ground. The low-cost carrier has opened its first lounge at London-Gatwick Airport.
This is the first time a low-cost airline can refer its travelers to their own lounge.
The lounge is called ‘The Gateway by Easyjet & No1 Lounges’.
The airline believes the timing is right, as business travelers make a comeback at London’s airports.
Passengers can reserve to stay in the lounge up to three hours before departure. The lounge stay costs from 18.50 British pounds, or 22 euros.
The airport has been chosen deliberately: no airline has more travelers at Gatwick than Easyjet.
The company offers routes to 120 destinations with 71 aircraft. In normal years, 19 million Easyjet passengers use Gatwick. (Photo Easyjet).
