Airberlin wins US awards

Airberlin is in the awards this month. The German airline has won three U.S. awards. Readers of U.S. travel magazines Global Traveler and Premier Traveler have named the airline “Best Transatlantic Airline” and “Best European Airline. Also, for the second year in a row, airberlin’s frequent flyer program (Topbonus) has been named the best international program by Premier Traveler readers. Topbonus has over 3.8 million members.

Starting with the 2016 summer season, airberlin is offering new long-haul destinations from Düsseldorf: Dallas/Fort Worth, Boston and San Francisco. On May 6, 2016, airberlin will begin scheduled service to Dallas/Fort Worth, operating four times a week. A day later, flights will begin from Düsseldorf to Boston, also four times a week. San Francisco starts on May 6 and is offered five times a week. Airberlin already flies from Düsseldorf to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Fort Myers, Miami, New York and Chicago (both from Berlin).
