British regional airline Flybe began flight operations between Manchester and Rotterdam The Hague Airport this week.
The plane was welcomed to the Rotterdam airport on Monday by new director Ron Louwerse. Flybe will now fly to Manchester twice a day on weekdays from Rotterdam. On weekends, there is a flight once a day.
In September, there will also be a connection between Rotterdam The Hague Airport and Birmingham, also twice daily. Flybe deploys the Bombardier Dash 8 Q400, a turboprop aircraft with seating for 78 passengers, on the routes.
Flybe has as many as 149 routes in Europe in 9 countries. In the Netherlands they also fly to Southend Airport from Eelde Airport and from Schiphol they fly to destinations such as Birmingham, East Midlands, Manchester, Liverpool, Inverness, Exeter. They have codeshares with KLM, Air France, British Airways, Etihad, Finnair, Aer Lingus and Cathay Pacific.
