American Express Global Business Travel (GBT) Netherlands gets a new Client General Manager: Jody Gomes Tavares (31). Gomes Tavares, who starts at the business travel agency on April 1, reports to Johan van Haften, Head of Client Management at GBT Netherlands.
Freek Jansen, Managing Director of GBT Netherlands & Belgium said, “Jody brings with her a wealth of knowledge in hotel content and distribution and a great network within the travel industry in the Benelux. The appointment of Jody fits within GBT’s commitment to build a talented team.”
Jody adds, “It’s an interesting time to be working at GBT. GBT invests heavily in new technologies and people to provide its clients with the optimal business travel program and their employees with a seamless travel experience. I look forward to making my contribution to this.”
Jody has worked in the travel industry for over a decade, in a variety of operational and commercial roles. Her most recent position is that of Key Account Manager Benelux & Nordics at Booking.com for Business. Here she works on optimization of global hotel programs for large multinationals and advises on the integration of content into various travel and expense systems, in collaboration with TMCs and Online Booking Engines (OBEs). Prior to that, she was Travel Sales Manager Benelux at Sixt.
