Carlton Hotel Collection has a great addition; Market Street hotel recently opened in downtown Edinburgh. Absolute highlight of the hotel is the rooftop champagne lounge; Nor’ Loft – the place to see and be seen. Named after the Nor’ Loch, the rooftop champagne lounge is a chic addition to the historic skyline. The lounge offers more than 20 different types of exclusive champagne, from the prestigious Grand Marques to the small, special wineries. The lounge offers spectacular panoramic views of Edinburgh sights including Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street Gardens and Calton Hill. Nor’ Loft is open all day. In the evening, the lounge transforms into a lively social hub with stunning views of Edinburgh’s illuminated historic skyline.
Modern design and distinctive comfort
Located within walking distance of the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle, the hotel is the first hotel in the Scottish capital to be affiliated with Design Hotels™. The façade of the 98-room hotel is constructed of authentic Scottish stone; an homage to the city’s rich heritage. Behind it is a very contemporary, modern heart: the luxurious interior, designed by FG Stijl interior design together with GDS, who previously won prestigious awards with Carlton’s The Dominican in Brussels, among others. The design has an exceptionally beautiful aesthetic, inspired by the character and history of the area.
