Corendon is going to realize a five-star hotel in Zandvoort. The purchase agreement for the plot of land was signed on Wednesday, says Martin de Boer, Director of Marketing at Corendon Hotels & Resorts. he new hotel will be located on the Badhuisplein, next to the Holland Casino.
The hotel in Zandvoort will be Corendon’s fourth hotel in the Netherlands, in addition to the three existing hotels in Amsterdam and Badhoevedorp. The plot of land will be transferred in April next year. .
Details about the hotel are not yet known, says De Boer. We are now going to make plans. We are going to talk to the municipality about exactly what we can do at that location, such as the maximum building height. Zandvoort council wants to upgrade that part of the boulevard and of course we are happy to help. The construction period is about eighteen months.
Nothing is known yet about the number of rooms in the new hotel either. ‘What is certain is that it will be a complete hotel, with all the trimmings.’
In addition to the plot of land for the hotel, Corendon has also purchased a beachfront restaurant. This is the existing The Barefoot Cottage, which will open its doors at the end of March under the Corendon banner.
