KLM will stop flying directly to two popular holiday destinations this winter: Barbados and Oman. The announcement is a hard blow, especially for the Caribbean island. The destination has made significant efforts in recent months with campaigns, events and study trips to draw attention to the island. Oman has also clearly appeared on the tourist radar in the past fifteen years. It goes without saying that both destinations are still easily accessible via transfer.
KLM says: ‘As of September 11, 2023, we will no longer fly to Muscat. Due to Covid we are in the process of rebuilding our network. That is why it has been decided not to fly to Muscat for the time being. And from winter 2023 we will no longer fly to Barbados.’
