Air India starts Delhi-Amsterdam

Air India started direct flights between Delhi (India) and Schiphol on Sunday. The flights to the Netherlands are part of the growth of the European network.

Air India flies direct between Delhi and Amsterdam four times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The route is operated with a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner equipped with 18 full-flat Business Class seats and 238 Economy Class seats.

“The launch of our flights between Delhi and Amsterdam is a great example of our ongoing efforts to strengthen our global network and connect India to more cities around the world,” said Air India CEO Campbell Wilson.

With Air India’s new service, travelers from the Netherlands and neighboring countries can travel non-stop to Delhi and on to other cities in India. They can also transfer to other destinations in the route network, such as Bangkok, Hong Kong, Kathmandu, Melbourne, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo.

Amsterdam is the sixth destination in Air India’s continental European route network and the fourth the airline has added from Delhi in the past four months.
This brings Air India’s number of non-stop flights between India and Europe to 86 per week. The airline also recently resumed flights to other cities in Europe, such as Milan, Vienna and Copenhagen. (Photo Air India).
