Amex GBT Benelux signs Diversity Charter

Today, Swapna Nair, Managing Director and General Manager of American Express Global Business Travel (Amex GBT) Benelux, signed the Diversity Charter with the Dutch Social and Economic Council (SER)* during a ceremony in The Hague. By signing this charter, Amex GBT Benelux commits to promoting and increasing diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

“Within Amex GBT we strongly believe that companies that have diversity, equity, and inclusion at the heart of their business, are most successful. Signing the Diversity Charter is part of our continuous efforts to make progress in our organisation,” said Swapna Nair.

In the Diversity Charter, Amex GBT Benelux has defined specific diversity and inclusion challenges that the organisation is committing to for 2022 and beyond. The main goals described in the Amex GBT Benelux Diversity Charter are:

  • Increase the representation of women across senior leadership roles in Benelux to 33% by the end of 2022 and to 40% by the end of 2023**.
  • Reach 30% engagement in Inclusion Groups’ (IN Groups) activities in Benelux in 2022 and consistently grow engagement year on year.

Diversity Charter
The Diversity Charter, part of SER Diversity at Work, promotes diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Signatories of the Diversity Charter – over 375 Dutch and 12,000 European public and private sector employers – pledge to promote diversity in their organisations with regard to capacity for work, ethnic-cultural diversity, gender, age and LGBTI+.
