Avani Hotels & Resorts, the upscale lifestyle brand of Minor Hotels, is expanding further in Europe with the opening of Avani Frankfurt City Hotel. The brand is making its debut in Germany. Located in Frankfurt’s central business district, the redesigned hotel strikes a balance between design and functionality and creates a vibrant atmosphere that reflects the city’s famous electronic music scene. Later this year, Avani will expand further, including to Amsterdam.
Avani Frankfurt City Hotel celebrates the city’s role as a pioneer of techno music in the 1980s, when Frankfurt became the center for influential nightclubs, record stores, musicians and labels. The lobby displays album covers and framed vinyl records from the era, while the mantelpiece, complete with vintage record player, creates a nostalgic atmosphere. The lobby is made extra spacious by LED screens with dynamic techno animations that reach from floor to ceiling. To continue the theme, there are five aptly named meeting rooms with a shared relaxation area. The flexible space can accommodate up to 140 people for workshops, training courses, theme dinners and team building activities.
Spread over seven floors, the 256 rooms and suites of Avani Frankfurt City Hotel are equipped with the latest amenities. High-tech gadgets like Google’s Chromecast TV and high-quality Bluetooth speakers make it easy to relax with your own favorite shows and music.
The hotel’s spacious dining options meet the needs of the guest with simplicity and quality. There is a buffet restaurant for a leisurely breakfast, as well as The Pantry, Avani’s signature grab-and-go concept with fresh snacks including wraps, vegan bites, smoothies, Buddha bowls and matcha tea. In the evening, The Pantry becomes a lively place to socialize and sip cocktails from the bar. There is also the option to dine in the room 24/7.
In addition to the yoga mats available in every room, guests who enjoy wellness and sports can train in the AvaniFit fitness room. This is equipped with advanced cardio machines, weights, steam baths and a sauna. Guests can also explore the nearby banks of the Main via the tree-lined running paths or opt for a pedal boat ride on the river to experience the skyline of “Mainhatten”.
The hotel offers activities curated in collaboration with some of the city’s leading creatives. Led by Entkorkte Kunst, guests can create art inspired by electronic music during a “Techno Painting” workshop, accompanied by cocktails and live DJ beats. The “Silent Techno Walking Tour” with Hush Beats takes guests to top city attractions such as the Museum of Modern Electronic Music (MOMEM) to the beats of a special playlist.
The Avani Frankfurt City Hotel is conveniently located near the city’s main transport hubs, with the airport and train station a 25-minute drive away. World-class museums and the famous Zeil shopping street are within walking distance. Avani double rooms start from €175 per room per night, including breakfast.
