Hilton has opened the first new-build hotel under its MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) focused Signia brand.

The Signia by Hilton concept was unveiled in 2019, with the aim of “transforming the industry for meeting professionals and sophisticated business travellers by infusing state-of-the-art technology and design into every aspect of the guest experience”.

There are two properties already open in Orlando and San Jose, but the 42-storey Signia by Hilton Atlanta is very much a flagship hotel for the brand, as its first new-build and the largest ground-up hotel development in Atlanta’s downtown area for 40 years.

Built on the site of the demolished Georgia Dome, the hotel features 976 rooms, a rooftop pool and fitness centre, a spa and 100,000 square feet of meeting space, including the largest hotel ballroom in the state of Georgia and an outdoor event deck and lawn.

There are a total of eight food and beverage options, including signature Italian fine dining restaurant Capolinea, seasonal pool bar Highball and sports bar Nest on Four with views of the city’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The hotel also features 80 Club Signia rooms, with benefits including early check-in and late check-out, and access to the Club Signia lounge.

The portfolio of three Signia by Hilton properties will be joined by the 800-room Signia by Hilton Indianapolis, which is currently under development next to the Indiana Convention Center.
