Billy Skelli-Cohen new CEO of Eden Hotels

Eden Hotels, the Dutch hotel group owned by the Dijkstra family and KSL Capital Partners announced this morning that Billy Skelli-Cohen (45) has been appointed Chief Executive Officer. Earlier this week, Léon Dijkstra introduced his successor to the Eden Hotels teams and informed them about his new role in the Supervisory Board. The majority investment in the group made by KSL recently (Decembre, 2021) should enable the combined ambition to grow the company and expand into Europe.

Eden Hotels currently owns and operates 14 hotels with nearly 2.000 rooms, mainly in Amsterdam and other major Dutch cities. The company was built in almost 75 years by the Dijkstra family, currently employs more than 500 people, and includes the 400-room Eden Hotel Amsterdam and the Hard Rock Hotel Amsterdam American. KSL’s investment with enable Eden to realize the growth plan in the Netherlands and Europe.

Skelly-Cohen, previously CEO of Lore Group, is highly experienced in hospitality with a track record in investment, development and operation. Léon Dijkstra, shareholder and board member, says: “Our partnership with KSL in December marked the start of our growth plans and having Billy on board will help us make this happen. With the support of KSL, our core DNA and Billy’s experience, we take Eden to the next level and start our European growth”.
