Convention Bureau Event Park Amsterdam makes debut at IMEX

Convention Bureau Event Park Amsterdam will take part in the IMEX in Frankfurt for the first time this year. With more than 80 participating countries, 8,000 visitors (including hosted buyers and trade visitors) and 70,000 pre-scheduled appointments, IMEX is the largest trade fair in Europe for planners and organizers of business meetings. For Convention Bureau Event Park Amsterdam, the fair offers a good opportunity to meet existing relations and new international prospects.

This year, the fair will be held from May 31 to June 2. Convention Bureau Event Park Amsterdam is part of the stand of the Netherlands Bureau for Tourism & Congresses (NBTC). With more than 2,500 exhibitors from more than 150 countries, IMEX offers the meeting planner a unique opportunity to meet all possible international suppliers on one exhibition floor.

“IMEX is one of the two international fairs in which we will participate this year,” said Michiel Smilde, destination manager of Convention Bureau Event Park Amsterdam. “Together with the other participants in ‘de Hollandstand’, we are making every effort to bring multi-day international business meetings to the Netherlands, whereby our own focus is of course on the municipality of Haarlemmermeer, the ‘countryside of Amsterdam’. The Netherlands is a good destination for international business meetings. We are a small country with a lot of variety and our cities offer countless opportunities and many special locations and facilities.”

Business tourist market
Convention Bureau Event Park Amsterdam represents the business tourism market within the municipality of Haarlemmermeer and contributes to the PR & marketing of 15 partner hotels, 6 event locations up to 25,000 m² and 8 suppliers. In addition, she acts as an independent advisor for (inter)national planners of meetings in the region. “In addition to our special story about the origin of our region, that we made land from water and still live six meters below sea level, we know more and more international planners how to stay and organize their stay under our motto ‘available, accessible & affordable’. to tempt meetings in our beautiful green region,” says Smilde.
