The first MICE famtrip of Barrio Life to Seville has turned out to be a great success
On February 24, a group of incentive organizers and partners flew to Seville – at the invitation of Barrio Life – for a famtrip. A full and varied 3-day program in which various MICE locations were visited. Rikkert Barendse (Founder Barrio Life): “Seville is a great destination for an incentive or event. The mix of climate, the typical atmosphere, variety in venues, and the good food are hard to find anywhere else”. The group visited various hotels, event locations, including a number of haciendas outside the stand and enjoyed the local cuisine.
Collaboration with Sevilla Congress & Convention Bureau
This famtrip was organized in collaboration with the Sevilla Congress & Convention Bureau. This foundation is committed to promoting Seville as a MICE destination. Yvonne Zegers (Business Events Executive of the agency) designed the program in consultation with Barrio Life and traveled with the group for three full days: “Especially for event organizers who do not yet know the city, it is crucial to come and experience it for themselves, which is why we like to organize these kinds of Fam Trips. The good atmosphere together, the delicious food and visiting the beautiful monuments and venues ensures that these participants will not quickly forget Seville and will also like to recommend this destination to their customers. “
Win win win – for our partners, suppliers and for Barrio
Barrio Life wants to share the knowledge and love for its destinations. According to Rikkert Barendse, these trips are a win – win – win. “Our partners get to know the destination better, the suppliers on site come into the picture of professionals who regularly organize incentives and events and. This is in line with the goals of Barrio Life. With these famtrips we want to further promote our destinations and our beautiful company, strengthen the relationship with travel agents, and of course we also like to be surprised by the destination and get to know even more nice places!”
The trip to Seville is not an isolated event. Barrio Life will organize more of these types of trips in the coming years. The next planned famtrips will take place in Morocco and will take place in October 2025.
