Friesland kicks off cultural summerfestival Arcadia

Need another reason to go (back to) Friesland? Here is one! Let’s go to Friesland! The festival Arcadia kicked off this weekend and start festivities all summer long. For a hundred days, from May 7 to August 14,visitors can be inspired by visual arts, theatre, literature and debate around the theme
‘ancestry’. A lot of work is new and free to visit, made by (international) artists
and the Frisian mienskip (community).

Arcadia presents a broad program, spread over 100 days and throughout the province, from city to village, some 750,000 visitors are expected.
