American Express GBT launches New Fare Display via Neo

Recently, American Express launched Global Business Travel ( GBT) New Fare Display (NFD) for all customers using Neo to book travel. This makes GBT the first TMC in the industry to show a complete overview of airfares in a corporate booking tool. New Fare Display is designed to ensure that travelers can shop airline tickets the way they prefer.

To encourage more usage, Neo developers took inspiration from popular airline booking tools. NFD presents airfares in an easy overview that shows all available fares side by side. Included amenities are shown with each fare, including ticket features. At a glance, users can compare a complete set of features and see what is included in a fare, such as seat selection and priority check-in and boarding – benefits that can make a trip more comfortable and productive.

When users shop airfare in Neo instead of directly on airline websites, they can choose from more available fares and can see them all in one place. This applies to both the airlines’ regular offerings and negotiated business rates, as well as GBT’s Preferred Extras™ offerings.

GBT’s strategy is to help travel managers improve travel policy compliance by providing a more user-friendly booking experience in Neo. This also ultimately supports all the goals of business travel programs, including savings and the responsibility and care for each traveler along the way.

Neo’s NFD currently includes fares from nearly 30 airlines around the world. More airlines will be added as they adopt the necessary technology standards. A similar survey of hotel offerings in Neo is in the works.
