Brussels Airlines launches Premium Economy on long haul. The first aircraft with the new cabins was welcomed to the fleet last week, on April 29, and the new Premium Economy Class sales started to travel from August 1.
With the introduction of its new long-haul travel experience, Brussels Airlines is launching a brand new cabin. Premium Economy aims to meet the needs of long-haul customers who want superior travel comfort, without paying the price of a Business Class seat.
The new Premium Economy is completely separate from the other classes, creating a calm and relaxing environment with soft purple and blue colors. With only 21 seats, quietness is one of the key features of the Premium Economy cabin. A premium seat with more privacy, comfortable cushions and an extended armrest allow for undisturbed travel. A 38″ seat pitch (23% more legroom compared to Economy Class), a wider seat with a larger headrest and a generous 40° adjustable backrest ensure a relaxing sleep. The warm and cheerful design is a signature of the Brussels Airlines brand. The 13.3″ HD screen is one of the largest HD Premium Economy screens in Europe. In addition, there is a large table with AC and USB plugs to keep you productive throughout the flight.
As Premium Economy is a completely new product for Brussels Airlines, the airline will start using the new class as soon as 5 aircraft have been converted, in order to guarantee cabin availability for its customers. Ticket sales for Premium Economy Class have started for travel starting August 1, 2019, first on the three North Atlantic routes, then gradually on the African network as well. Until then, Economy Class customers lucky enough to travel on an upgraded aircraft have the chance to upgrade their ticket for just $90 and try out the brand new premiere Premium Economy seat.
