Eden Hotels is expanding its management. Claire van Eeghen joins the company this week, effective October 19, as Chief Operation Officer (COO) and in that capacity becomes operationally responsible for the hotel group. This new development is in line with Eden Hotels’ intended growth strategy, which focuses not only on Dutch cities but also abroad.
Van Eeghen studied commercial economics and business economics and previously worked as Director Customer Service Europe at Air France and KLM Cargo. She becomes the third member of the hotel group’s board of directors alongside General Manager Léon Dijkstra and Finance Director Joost Peeperkorn.
Commercial and customer service experience
Van Eeghen is embarking on the goal of further improving Eden Hotels’ customer and quality experience. She has a broad commercial and customer service experience, the last fourteen years of which have been with KLM. In her new role at Eden Hotels, she manages the General Managers of the hotels and the heads of the expertise teams. In addition to operational leadership, Van Eeghen will also be responsible for human resources, brand perception, commerce, quality and operations/purchasing. Joost Peeperkorn will remain in charge of finance and ICT and will also focus on financing options for further growth of the hotel group.
