Corendon Airlines will be the first airline in Europe to use the IATA Travel Pass. After a successful trial in November 2021, the app will be used on selected flights within its network.
The Travel Pass was developed by the aviation organization IATA. In the app, travelers can securely manage their Covid-19 test and vaccination certificates and verify that they meet all health requirements for their destination.
Passengers can store all their coronavirus test results and vaccination documents in the IATA Travel Pass and submit these documents electronically, without having to contact the airline before their travel. In this way they have all documents about vaccinations, tests and recovery documents in one digital place.
This helps avoid queues when checking documents.
The IATA Travel Pass can be downloaded for free from the Apple and Android app stores. The app also contains information about travel restrictions and the local rules regarding corona at the destinations.
Corendon Airlines (XC) and Corendon Airlines Europe (XR) will use the IATA Travel Pass on a limited number of flights.
For Corendon Airlines, the app is available on flights departing from Antalya to Nuremberg, Hanover, Munich, Cologne and Düsseldorf, or departing from these cities to Antalya.
For Corendon Airlines Europe, the IATA Travel Pass can be used on flights from Düsseldorf to Lanzarote, Gran Canaria (Las Palmas), Fuerteventura and Tenerife or vice versa.
