Extra measures on board at Emirates

Emirates is taking extra measures to ensure the safety of employees and passengers. This applies to cabin crew and airport employees who come into contact with travelers.

Personnel will be provided with personal protective equipment, consisting of a disposable jacket over the uniform, a face mask, gloves and eye protection. On Emirates flights, seats are pre-allocated, with empty seats kept vacant between individual passengers or family groups.

In addition, inflight services have been modified. Food and drink is still offered, but now in the form of bento-style packets, a type of box, to minimize contact between cabin crew and passengers.

At Dubai International Airport, gloves and masks are mandatory for travelers and employees. Thermal scanners are used to scan the temperature of all passengers and employees entering the airport. Passengers must wear their own masks and gloves from check-in at the airport until leaving the plane.
