Garuda changes seat reservation rates

Garuda Indonesia introduces new fees for reserving a seat on international flights.

‘We are convinced that these new, more market-based, fares per seat reservations on our route between Amsterdam and Jakarta will better meet the needs of our passengers and travel professionals. Of course, one can also wait until one can check in online, 24 hours before departure, but then one runs the risk that the preferred seats are no longer available,’ said Rick Wouters, marketing & sales manager for Continental Europe.

For bookings with booking classes starting from “N” and Frequent Flyer members with Garuda Miles Platinum or similar status from SkyTeam partners, seat reservations will remain free of charge. For seats with extra legroom or emergency exit seats, fares remain unchanged.

• All economy class seats each way, excluding seats with extra legroom or emergency exit seats.
• Sales period as of October 17, 2018
• Travel period from October 17, 2018
• The rates are loaded in Amadeus and on the website
