Hilton has opened its second Curio Collection property in Portugal and its first in the country’s capital, Lisbon.
Named after the street on which it is located – Rua das Janelas Verdes, which translates as “Street of Green Windows – the Emerald House Lisbon has a view of the Tagus River and the city.
The 67-room property is located next to the National Museum of Ancient Art, in a restored building that used to serve as a bakery. Facilities include A Mesa restaurant, Five O’Clock Bar, three meeting rooms and a fitness center.
The hotel has retained several of the building’s original features, including an antique bath, tiles and sink, and the interior is decorated with art and antiques from the area.
