This summer, Louvre Hotels Group is focusing on rolling out a safety audit in all international hotels in more than 50 countries. The group selected NSF International – a world leader in public health risk management – to obtain an independent, hotel-by-hotel assessment of the safety and health measures implemented. The “Checked by NSF ™” program will begin today, July 27, 2020. The group is committed to having 100% of its network checked by September and the new health measures embedded in the daily lives of its employees and guests. For its French hotels, LHG has started a partnership with Merieux Nutrisciences-France.
The main mission of NSF International is to monitor whether all health procedures introduced by Louvre Hotels Group in recent months have been properly implemented in all owned, managed and franchised hotels. Priority is to ensure the health of both employees and guests.
The audit is divided into three phases. First, NSF International evaluates the protocols as established by Louvre Hotels Group. In addition, NSF International evaluates whether hotels are properly implementing these safety procedures. Finally, the effectiveness of the program is monitored and improvements made if necessary.
At the end of the inspection, the hotel owner or manager will receive a document indicating whether the health protocols are being properly followed. If the result of the audit is positive, then the hotel will receive the “Checked by NSF™” label. Any recommendations should be implemented immediately, as a second audit will follow within a few weeks. In the Benelux, all hotels are visited by NSF staff. “Guests deserve to know that their health and safety are top priorities. An NSF badge on the door provides that reassurance.”Thus Werner Linders, Global Lead of NSF.
