Malaysia opens Langkawi to tourists

After 20 months, Malaysia reopens Langkawi to foreign tourists. Since November 15, tourists can enjoy the jewel of Kedah, better known as the island of Langkawi, without quarantine.

It is the first Malaysian destination to waive mandatory quarantine for international travelers. Tourists who stay longer than seven days may travel to other parts of Malaysia. This is part of the government’s plan to gradually reopen the country to tourists.
