Mercure Hotels opened its second hotel in Luxembourg last night. In a former brewery, which has been transformed into a beautiful and comfortable hotel, 74 rooms have been realized. With its special location, the hotel offers a unique and authentic experience, in keeping with the Mercure brand.
The hotel is perfectly located at the foot of Luxembourg City. It is a stone’s throw from the historic center, Findel Airport and the Kirchberg business district. This makes this hotel an ideal place for both business and leisure guests.
Julien Rondepierre, General Manager: “Mercure Luxembourg off Kirchberg fits perfectly with Mercure’s ambition to offer guests a unique and local experience. The property, a former beer factory, dates back to 1905 and has protected status. This contributes directly to the atmosphere and unique experience. In addition, guests can enjoy local beers with us, such as Bofferding and ‘vegan’ beer Funck-Bricher.”
Thomas Dubaere, Chief Operating Officer Accor Northern Europe: “We are very proud with the opening of this brand new Mercure hotel in Luxembourg. With the opening of Mercure Luxembourg Off Kirchberg, the network now comprises 20 hotels in the Benelux and strengthens our position as market leader. In the first quarter, we expect to add 2 more Mercure hotels to our network in the Benelux.”
The modern rooms with a distinct French Art Deco look are available in different types: the comfortable classic room or the luxurious ‘Privilege’ room with extra facilities. The rooms have semi-open bathrooms that exude a spacious and luxurious feel. The hotel features a trendy bar, where you can go for some food, drinks or work.
