The Dutch team of the 15th edition of the Meeting Trophy, which was held again in Switzerland last weekend, finished in fourth place.
The team, with a changing composition each year, was as always under the inspiring leadership of Lisette van Dolderen of the Switzerland Convention & Incentive Bureau in Amsterdam.
The Dutch received a nice compliment from the winning team from Scandinavia (the Nordics). ‘The Dutch team really should have won the Meeting Trophy, as they performed as a real team.’
In addition to the honor, the winning team went home with a trophy in the form of a cowbell.
The Meeting Trophy is more than a study tour. It is a rally right across Switzerland, with a high level of competition. The participants are working in the MICE sector and are organizers of seminars, meetings and incentives.
This year, too, there were teams from eight countries where the Swiss Tourist Office has offices, in Europe and North America. The Meeting Trophy is a good way to gain knowledge about Switzerland as a MICE destination.
