Novotel Amsterdam City has started the construction of two additional meeting rooms and the renovation of a third room. After the renovation, there is room for a meeting of 450 guests combined with six breakout rooms for 50 guests per room. The hotel also has 10 boardroom rooms and an office space for conference organizers. The new halls will be completed by the end of August. The area of all the hotel’s meeting facilities will be expanded by more than 150m2 and almost 200m2 will be renovated.
The hotel located against Amsterdam’s Zuidas and next to the RAI is building two additional rooms with a capacity for 50 guests per room. These rooms can also be combined to a total capacity of 110 participants in theater seating. In addition, one hall will be completely renovated. After the renovation, the rooms will meet the highest Novotel standards and be equipped with modern AV equipment. In addition, addiional storage space has been created for large events.
Concrete need in the market
“For us, the addition and renovation of rooms is a logical consequence of concrete requests from the market,” says Ad Hoondert, General Manager at Novotel Amsterdam City. “Parties who book with us are asking more and more regularly for space with different types of breakout options. So as of the end of August, we can accommodate 450 people and offer six breakout options of about 50 people per space. Unique in Amsterdam is that the total of 450 guests can also all stay with us overnight, have lunch and dinner, as we can facilitate that number of people in our own restaurant.”
