Novotel Amsterdam opens its doors again

The Novotel Amsterdam City hotel has announced it will reopen its doors from June 16, 2020. Now that the government’s easing of restrictions on tourism and travel is clear, General Manager Ad Hoondert is looking forward to the coming weeks in a positive light.

All Accor hotels are checked for safety and cleaning by an external agency, namely Bureau Veritas. The hotels must meet higher standards than those set by the government in terms of disinfection in order to receive the ALLSAFE label.

From Accor, various safety standards have been set to bring about the health of both guests and staff. Various protocols have been established, with hygiene being top priority within all hotels. Bureau Veritas, a world leader in health and disinfection inspection, will audit the hotels to ensure the new measures are in place.

Ad Hoondert: “We are very excited that we can take this step forward again and have done everything to make this happen safely and smoothly. We hope to welcome our guests soon and enjoy our hospitality again. Our team is ready!”

Great hotel with good location
The hotel has 610 rooms and eighteen meeting rooms. It has excellent facilities for both business guests and families. Due to its easily accessible and conveniently located location, young and old can easily and quickly reach the center of Amsterdam.

Hoondert: ‘We encourage bicycle use so that public transport can be avoided as much as possible. So we have also made bicycles available for our guests, to reach the center safely.’ In this way, Novotel Amsterdam City hopes to welcome more families in the coming period.
