Nobu Hotels has added its third Spanish hotel, following the renovation and reopening of the former Gran Hotel Torre Catalunya as the Nobu Hotel Barcelona.
Located on Avinguda de Roma in the Eixample neighborhood, the 259-room property features a Nobu restaurant on the 23rd floor (the first in Barcelona), as well as a Japanese tapas restaurant Kozara at lobby level.
The interior also reflects the group’s Japanese influence, using Kintsugi – “a craft where cracked pottery is repaired with lacquer mixed with precious metals to create collages, textures and spaces throughout the hotel,” which the hotel says is “cleverly combined with incredible artwork inspired by Catalonia’s legendary maestro, Gaudi.”
Facilities such as a wellness center with a gym and spa, a terrace in Koraza, an auditorium and a café are all labeled “coming soon.” Rates start from € 250 per night for a Deluxe Skyline room.
