Turkish Airlines extends flight pause

Turkish Airlines has extended its previously instituted flight interruption until June. The Turkish airline reports this on its website.

Domestic flights are now suspended until June 4, international flights until June 10. Previously, the plan was to start the first flights at the end of May, writes the Stuttgarter Zeitung.

According to the state news agency Anadolu, Turkish Airlines passengers would no longer be allowed to carry luggage in the cabin except for handbags. The amount of hand luggage allowed so far will be added to the hold luggage.

Turkey hopes to resume tourism in June. Tourism is an important source of income for the country.
