UNIGLOBE Smart Business Travel acquires Panta Business Travel

UNIGLOBE Smart Business Travel is taking over Panta Business Travel in Rotterdam with immediate effect. This was announced today by both UNIGLOBE owners Oscar Huls and Peter Hilbers.

Panta owner Peter van Vliet himself remains active with the travel agency VakantieXperts Panta Reizen.

‘The acquisition of Panta Business Travel will allow us to achieve further growth in our business. Pleasant discussions with Peter van Vliet of Panta Zakenreizen ultimately led to this acquisition. Gradually it became clear that both companies think alike about services to the business market and have been successfully putting this into practice for many years,” says Oscar Huls.

Panta Business Travel has been a household name in the travel world for 35 years for both vacations and business trips with a very personal service, typical Rotterdam mentality, a reliable image and an exceptionally strong and experienced team of employees. UNIGLOBE Smart Business Travel adds a global network of local entrepreneurs, a strong range of products and services and cutting-edge technology, the entrepreneurs say.

Oscar Huls: ‘The location and the staff remain unchanged, but we add a dash of UNIGLOBE Smart Business Travel to the recipe.’

Peter van Vliet adds, “As an independent business travel agency, the time was ripe to opt for a partnership. After a chance acquaintance with Oscar Huls and later also with Peter Hilbers, it turned out that Panta Business Travel perfectly matched the vision of UNIGLOBE Smart Business Travel. Together with the technology and vision of UNIGLOBE Travel, Panta Business Travel is ready for the future. I myself will remain active with the travel agency VakantieXperts Panta Reizen.’

Cees Klinkenberg, Director UNIGLOBE Travel Netherlands, is proud of the acquisition and congratulates all involved. ‘In addition to organic growth, acquisitions are an important part of our growth strategy.’

UNIGLOBE Smart Business Travel, in addition to the new Rotterdam office, has five more offices in the Netherlands: Woerden, Amsterdam, Teuge, Uden, Grootebroek and is part of UNIGLOBE Travel Netherlands.
