The route is currently served by joint venture partner and fellow SkyTeam member Delta, but the US carrier will cease flights on 26 October, with KLM taking over the following day.
The Dutch flag carrier will offer a thrice-weekly service during the winter season, rising to five flights per week for summer 2025.
Amsterdam-Portland will be KLM’s 21 North American destination, and will be served by the airline’s Boeing 787-9 aircraft configured with 30 seats in World Business Class, 21 in premium economy and 224 in economy.
