With an extensive investment plan, Louvre Hotels Group, the second largest player in the hotel sector in France and Europe, aims to renovate 80% of its own hotels by the end of 2028. Among other strategies, the group intends to join the top three performing brands in the segments and countries where it operates by 2028.
Currently operating around 1,700 hotels in 70 countries, Louvre Hotels Group is a significant player in the global hospitality industry and plans to continue its substantial expansion.
New hotels
In France, the group’s historical market, more than 200 new hotels are slated for development between 2024 and 2028. In China, 265 hotels will be opened during the same period, adding nearly 40,000 rooms, and in India, 50 new hotels are planned. Over the next five years, more than 120 hotels will open in the rest of the world.
Campanile, Hosho, and Tulip Hotels & Residences
Campanile, a key and historic brand within the group, will strengthen its position in the mid-range segment through these plans. Two of the group’s most recent brands, Hosho and Tulip Hotels & Residences, represent hybrid and innovative concepts catering to the evolving hotel preferences of both business and leisure guests:
– Hosho is a next-generation hostel concept, firmly positioned in the budget segment. This new player offers a product that combines traditional rooms with sleeping spaces for up to eight people.
– Tulip Hotel & Residences is a new, design-focused brand. A mid-range label offering both traditional rooms and long-stay options with studios and apartments.
Key elements focused on comfort, such as beds and showers, have been further developed to clarify the brand promise. These ‘brilliant basics’ aim to ensure the brands exceed the standard in their segment. The goal is to equip at least 80% of the hotels with these ‘brilliant basics’ by the summer of 2025.
For Investors and Franchisees
In 2024, a platform will be launched encompassing all services the group offers to its franchisees. Designed to bring flexibility and simplicity while streamlining the relationship between franchisor and franchisee, available services include technical and design support to assist investors with hotel renovations, revenue optimization, and a revamped procurement platform. Additionally, digital management and reservation tools (such as CRS or PMS) will be optimized to facilitate daily operations in hotels.
