Luxury Hôtel du Palais in Biarritz has reopened

Originally named “Vila Eugénie”, the Hôtel du Palais was built in 1855 by Napoléon III for his wife Eugénie. After three years of meticulous restoration started in 2019 to reflect its prestigious history, Hotel du Palais has now reopened.

The hotel is ideally located in Biarritz, the heart of Basque Country, less than 25 km from the border of Spain. The 86 rooms, including 56 suites, are elegantly decorated with a Napoleon III flair and offer unique views over the Atlantic Ocean or the city of Biarritz. From the open-air salt-water swimming pool, guests have direct access to the beach. The restaurant La Rotonde – La Table d’Aurélien Largeau has one Michelin star and offers exquisite flavors of the Basque Country and French cuisine with modern flair.
