SITE Conference takes NYC by storm, next year Istanbul (photos)

The Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE) has celebrated it’s 50th anniversary with fireworks. The last weekend saw record-breaking -with over 750 attendees! –  Global Conference in the city where SITE began. In the host conference hotel Marriott Marquis, right on Times Square, attendees enjoyed a multitude of lectures and networking opportunities from all over the world.

There were also numerous awards. SITE Canada Chapter was chosen as chapter of the year.  General agreement was often reached that incentive travel is on the up and up after the obviously difficult pandemic years. But there are also new challenges, such as the growing demand for sustainability. New York City showed itself as a great host.

“We are delighted to welcome the largest-ever gathering of incentive travel professionals to New York City and to celebrate SITE’s 50th anniversary milestone at this year’s Global Conference,” said Fred Dixon, President and CEO of NYC & Company. “There is no better place to reward your top producers and inspire creativity than NYC, with the very best in hotels, Broadway, entertainment, culture, dining, unique experiences and so much more.”

Next year: Istanbul

The new destination for the next global conference was also announced: Istanbul. Interested parties can save the date already 5-8 february!

There will be a large article in the next issue of MICE Benelux on the event.
