St James Bar announces pop up in Amsterdam

On Wednesday 25^th May 2022, Head Bartender Angelo Sparvoli and Bar Manager Kostas Bardas of St James Bar in the five-star Sofitel London St James will be travelling to the Netherlands for an exclusive takeover at world- renowned bar, Flying Dutchmen Cocktails located in the heart of Amsterdam.

Reputable cocktail bar St James Bar exudes elegance and sophistication as well as a luxurious clandestine feel. Angelo, a lauded figure in the industry has worked closely alongside Kostas to re-create four signature serves from the bar’s ‘Imagination’ menu; an innovative exploration of the concept of the imagination through drink, using flavours, molecular techniques and sustainable processes.

For one night only, these impressive libations will be on offer at the multi award-winning Flying Dutchmen Cocktails. Owned by Tess Posthumus and Timo Janse, the backbar is one of the largest in the Netherlands, comprising over 800 unique spirits and specialising in (neo)-classic cocktails.

As an addition to the guest shift, the duo from St James Bar will be hosting an informative masterclass for industry figures at 1pm. The pair will touch on the history of St James Bar, the current Imagination menu and the key trends and techniques within the current UK bar scene. This engaging workshop will be interactive as it is enlightening.
