Last Tuesday, Vienna House hotels invited customers to a workshop and informal dinner with quiz at Amsterdam Flavors on the Westergasterrein. The sincere interest and enthusiasm of the guests made for a great evening.
Customers in the Corporate and MICE segment were informed informally about the state of affairs at the hotels present in Poland, the Czech Republic, Berlin and Germany in general, where the chain has 30 hotels.
COO, Martin Ykema and Head of Global Sales, Tobias Bauer had come over from the headquarters in Vienna. The Benelux sales team led by Tim & Désirée Diets was responsible for the organization of the event.
The recent breaking news was also explained; the acquisition by Wyndham of the Vienna House brand from owner the HR Group based in Berlin. Vienna House becomes Vienna House by Wyndham.
The HR Group is a leading European hotel operator and a long-term franchise partner of Wyndham, which will continue to own or lease and operate current Vienna House hotels under long-term franchise agreements with Wyndham. The acquisition will enable Wyndham to grow the Vienna House brand by leveraging Wyndham’s vast marketing scale and franchise expertise, while allowing HR Group to focus on its core competencies as a leading owner and operator of strategic real estate across Europe.
At the end of the evening, 4 lucky winners went home with a weekend stay for 2 in a Vienna House hotel. Both the Vienna House sales team and the guests went home very enthusiastic. “We look back on a very successful evening which after 3 years of absence felt like a warm bath, we will definitely come back next year,” said a very satisfied COO, Martin Ykema.
